From each of 3 flannels, cut three squares 8" x 8" and one square 10"x10".
-
Layer 3 smaller squares on one larger square. You may keep all the layered fabrics the same or mix and match them as desired. Center the smaller squares so there is 1” around each side.
-
Draw a diagonal line on the top layer.
-
Stitch through all four layers of each block, using the diagonal line as a guide.
-
Continue to sew parallel lines on the diagonal, covering the entire 8” square. Sew the lines ¼” apart, using your presser foot for measurement or drawing on the lines with a marking tool.
-
Tips: Backstitch at the beginning and end of each seam line. Increase stitch length to 3.0 to speed up sewing. Pull fabric taut as you sew through first diagonal to ease stitching. Sew down one line of stitching, then up for the next to prevent distortion.
-
Cut channels using the OLFA Chenille Cutter. Set cutter to “M”.
-
Fold the backing toward the front to the edge of the center blocks. Press.
-

-
Top stitch all around.
-
Wash and dry wash cloth to fluff it up.
