Lay strips of fabric together on work table, right sides together and aligned along 45" length.
Sew strips together at aligned edge, using 1/4" seam.
Pin the unmatched 44" lengths together, creating a tube with right sides of fabric facing in (see cross-section in PDF pattern).
Turn tube right side out, and position so that patterned fabric is centered face-up.
Keeping patterned fabric centered on tube, iron tube flat.
Cut tube into 4 equal-size pieces.
Take one of the four smaller tubes, and fold in half with patterned fabric on the inside of the fold.
Sew raw edges together using a 1/4 seam, turn ring so that patterned fabric is on the outside. (Repeat this and the step prior 3 more times to create 4 napkin rings).
Make napkins by sewing a 1/4 seam all the way around each of the 22" squares.
Note – if you prefer you can use a velcro, decorative button or snap closure to create your ring.
