  5. Then cut smaller strips of contrasting paper using the Aqua 45mm Rotary Cutter.
  6.

  7. Finally trim a piece of ric rac ribbon to the length of the papers.  Layer all the pieces together and machine stitch them together.
  8.

  9. Adhere to the bucket.
  10.

  11. To create the fun rosettes:

  19. Place a small paper circle with hot glue in the middle and then carefully press the rosette down in the center so that it grabs the hot glue.  Press for a minute or so until secure.

  21. It’s then complete.  To create the giant embellishment on the front of the bucket.  I layered two different sized rosettes together, wrapped silver tinsel in between the layers, adhered a glittered heart die cut and a small mirrored star.  Then adhered the entire rosette to the front of the bucket.
  22.

To create the pinwheels:

  1. Begin with a 6×6 piece of pattern paper, and line up with the measurements on the cutting mat. Then using the 6×12 frosted ruler, score diagonally from corner to corner.  Flip the paper and score again so you have a criss crossed scored lines in the paper.
  2.

  3. Then using a hole punch, punch a center hole where the scored lines meet
  4.

  5. Using your art knife and the frosted ruler cut the paper on the diagonal to about  3/4” away from the center dot.  Flip the paper and do the same again.
  6.

  7. Next punch holes in each of the 4 corners

  9. Then using an eyelet, bring up each corner and thread through the eyelet. When the corners are finished, push the eyelet through the center hole and flatten the eyelet from the back.
  10.

Your completed pinwheel.  So fun and easy to make.  Take it a step further by, adding it to a wooden dowel.

    OLFAcraft_KanwischerDetail14

  11. To do this, I simply used a thumbtack and pressed the pinwheel into a wooden dowel, (carefully), and there you have it.
  12.

  13. Now to assemble the centerpiece.
  14.

  15. Insert floral foam into the bucket, securing it with hot glue on the bottom.  Create additional picks using rosettes adhered to dowels along with some shimmery star die cuts and I created 3 pinwheels for my project.  Now the fun part, begin inserting the picks into the foam to your desired look and when finished, add a little moss to the top and a little mini chalkboard to finish your piece.
  16.

I hope you enjoyed my project and tutorial, and I hope this inspires you to create one of your own.
